Boxing champion Tyson Fury has made a series of controversial claims regarding homosexuality.

The British boxer has ‘kissed’ a gay man in an attempt to prove he is not  homophobic.

Paul Cole ,a gay shop manager says he confronted the boxer over his comments earlier this week.

“I told him, ‘I can’t stand you’,” Cole told the boxer.
However, he says he was shocked by Fury’s reaction, which he claims has changed his opinion of the boxing champion

“Fury said he wasn’t homophobic and suddenly rubbed my beard and kissed me on both cheeks,” Paul said.

“I’ve changed my mind about him. He’s a big friendly giant who’d float my boat if he was gay”, says Paul Cole.

The heavyweight champion has refused to apologise after claiming that once homosexuality, paedophilia and abortion are all made legal, the world will end.

The Director-General of the BBC yesterday defended the nomination of the anti-gay boxer for the broadcaster’s Sports Personality of the Year award.

A petition to have Fury removed from the shortlist for the awards has been signed by over 150,000 people.

Olympic track star Greg Rutherford has threatened to pull out of the BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year award if Tyson Fury remains in the shortlist for the award.

Fury has been uninvited from the awards ceremony because of threatening comments he allegedly made to a sports journalist, but is still nominated.

As well as calling those who have signed the petition “50,000 wankers”, Fury has taken to Twitter to claim he doesn’t want the award anyway.

According to OK Magazine Kanye West "dumped" Kim Kardashian just 4 days after she gave birth to their son.

Kim and Kanye's marriage "exploded" shortly after the birth of Saint West leading to the rapper ending the pair's relationship, the stateside publication reports.

While the entire Kardashian family rushed to social media to gush over the newborn, Kimye were apparently at breaking point.

The cover of this week's Life & Style magazine reads: "Devastated Kim dumped 4 days after giving birth."

Teasing the inside story, it writes: "What tore them apart" and allege their "marriage explodes after months of arguing".

There is currently no reason to believe the couple are unhappy and no statement has been made by them confirming such reports.

Other sources have since defended the pair, telling E! news: "Kanye is so amazing with kids. He has a very warm, gentle and protecting side to him.

"He is really helping Kim out as much as he can. Kim and Kanye are tired, but are enjoying every moment they can with Saint.

"Kanye loves that there is a baby boy in the family now. Kanye is already thinking of melodies for baby Saint."

Kim's reps have told OK! Online the claims are "a fabrication and false".

Three million Nigerians illegally living in UK says senate

The Senate on Thursday said  no fewer than three million Nigerians are currently living illegally in the United Kingdom and that its investigation had shown that the British government had no plan to deport 29, 000 Nigerians by the British government as reported recently.

Chairman, Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs,  Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, stated this  after a meeting with officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service  at the National Assembly.

She explained that the 48 Nigerians recently deported from the United Kingdom committed various types of crimes and had served prison terms.

Sunmonu said, “The Asst. Deputy Comptroller just confirmed to us now that it is not true that 29, 000 Nigerians are being deported from the United Kingdom or that the UK government intends to deport 29, 000 Nigerians.

He further pointed out that only 48 Nigerians  were deported and he had shown us their names and records that actually confirmed that they had all served their prison sentences so that is why they are being deported.

The senator added that that, “about three million Nigerians are illegally living in the United Kingdom and that if three million Nigerians are living there illegally,  and they are only removing just 48 people confirmed to have committed crime and jailed, then the situation is not too bad.”

Chelsea sack Jose Mourinho

Chelsea FC of England have sacked their title-winning Portuguese coach, Jose Mourinho.

Reports say that the self-styled ‘Special One’ was sacked on Thursday following a woeful start to the 2015-2016 Premier League campaign.

Reports say Mourinho was dismissed at a meeting he had with the club’s management Thursday afternoon.
As earlier feared, Mourinho will not be paid £40m as compensation. But he would be paid until the end of this season. That amounts to about £12m.

Chelsea are now faced with a huge decision as owner, Roman Abramovich, has to find a capable replacement amid reports a former manager, Guus Hiddink, is being considered.
Chelsea are presently 16th on the log in the EPL.

Depreciation of Naira

The Naira, on Wednesday, depreciated further to N270 per dollar at the parallel market.

The news  revealed that from N260 per dollar at the close of business on Tuesday, the parallel market exchange rate rose sharply to N270 per dollar in Lagos, indicating N10 depreciation.

But in Abuja, the parallel market exchange rate rose from N262 per dollar to close at N273 per dollar, indicating N11 depreciation.

Nigeria Kidnap Case Helped To Trigger Fine On South Africa's MTN

Nigeria was unable to trace owners of SIM cards used by kidnappers of a prominent politician in September, it was the last straw for the  South African country after what it called a string of violations by telecoms firm MTN Group.

Africa’s biggest mobile phone company was given a $5.2 billion fine as  penalty by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) last month after the South African company failed to cut off users with unregistered SIM cards from its network.

Nigeria has been pushing industry players to verify the identity of their subscribers on worries that unregistered SIM cards were being used for criminal activity in a country facing Islamic militant group Boko Haram’s insurgency.

The fine, which is based on a $1000 for each phone line MTN failed to cut off, has left investors, wondering how the company failed to comply with the law that carried such a heavy penalty.
